That is true. They weren't making progress so they decided to speed up the process. Probably for the best, most people are too stupid to figure out how to turn their lives around anyway and there are way too many people as it is.

People are never satisfied, they always want more. I know multi-millionaires who are miserable and have money problems because they associate with other wealthy people, see what they have, and therefore expect more and more. The same applies to people who appear to have it all in other aspects of life.

I think the key to maintaining an interest in living is to always be working towards goals in different aspects of life. Financial, relationship, family, fitness, anything that's important to you. Making progress is a powerful motivator. If these jumpers felt they were making some sort of progress they would have been more interested in seeing what tomorrow brings.

12-year-old M. and 15-year-old A. of Izhevsk were best friends since they were very little kids. They were truly inseparable. In the end of 2017, M.’s parents adopted A. and the two officially became sisters. The parents would never think that just in a few months they will lose both M. and A. in the same day and for the same reason. On 19 February, 2018, A. and M. recorded their last video. In the video one of them says, “Goodbye, everyone. I love you all. Very much”. Then the girls jumped off 17th floor of an apartment building. There are many versions as to why the new sisters decided to end their lives together. Among them are argument with parents and unrequited love. After A.’s and M.’s death their mother wrote online, “Eternal memory, my the best girls, I love you so much”.

13-year-old M. P. of Kiev, Ukraine was a very promising child and A+ student. However, all of sudden her behavior changed. She began to fail at school and started to spend a lot of her spare time alone. She never shared with anyone what was eating her alive, but it was love that was not mutual. M. was in love with 12-year-old boy that didn’t love her back. On 14 March, 2018, M. left her home and disappeared. All the efforts to find her gave no result. Only two days later, her parents finally found out where M. was, but it was way too late. M. spent one day and half alone in an abandoned building. On 16 March, she went to 23th floor of the building and jumped off it to her death. The picture that she made in September of 2016 (third picture), with her posing on a concrete where someone spilled red paint, became prophetic. M. left a suicide not in which she asked not to blame anyone for her death.

5 May, 2018, Samara. 35-year-old police officer M. L. was home with her 4-year-old daughter M. and 6-year-old son M. She was complaining to her son that she is tired of her job and life. Then M. took her daughter in her arms and asked her son if he wants “ to fly with her”. When M. refused, she jumped off the window with M. Both mother and daughter died at the scene. Later M. told the police that his mother often was telling him how tired she is. M.’s friends stated that she has completely changed in April, after a work trip. She became antisocial and often said things that made no sense. They also said that she was thinking about quitting her job.

13 February, 2018, Novosibirsk. While many couples in the country were preparing to celebrate Valentine’s day, 18-year-old A. and his 14-year-old girlfriend decided that they won’t live long enough to enjoy this holiday. They went to a local bridge and jumped into cold water while holding hands. Fortunately, they were spotted by someone and the rescue team was called over. The team managed to save the 14-year-old girl life, but it was too late to save A. The girl is in critical condition. The alleged reason behind the suicide pact is her pregnancy.

Suicide note left on 17th February, 2017 by 15-year-old Ukranian teenage girl that was member on an online suicide group and was ordered to commit suicide by jumping off roof of an apartment building as part of the suicide game “Blue Whale”:
“GOODBYE!
Don’t try to find me because if you read this I’m already lying dead on concrete. You can’t save me. […] I love you all”.
Fortunately, the girl’s and her teenage friend’s suicide was prevented by the police seconds before they were going to jump.
