I'm sure many of you have heard this story before.

Back in June of 2017, an Illinois man (with outspoken left-wing views) travelled to DC with a mission: shed the blood of a politician. Particularly, a Republican politician.
He almost succeeded. He opened fire at a Congressional charity baseball game, injuring 4 people. Among the injured: Congressman Steve Scalise. Scalise was, you guessed it, a Republican. And a politician too. Mission accomplished, eh? Close, but no cigar. Scalise was seriously injured, but he survived.
The shooter, however, did not. James Hodgkinson, 66, was killed in a shootout with responding officers.
