James Vance attempted suicide in '85 not '95. He eventually finished the job a few years later with painkillers. Highly recommend watching the documentary about it and the family's lawsuit against Judas Priest, "Dream Deceivers". You can find it on YouTube. Basically his family was completely dysfunctional and the mother, who is a religious whacko, couldn't accept that anything other the ungodly influence of Judas Priest could have contributed to her son's suicide attempt. I think James needed his mother's acceptance after disfiguring his face so he played along with it. Oh and by the way, when he died he left behind a 1 year old daughter; meaning someone had sex with him after his face looked like that. |
