A man was killed after an assault on a child under 13 in Curaçao Avenue on Friday 1st August during the afternoon. The 24yo had also robbed a gas station. He was shot by an unnamed civilian police officer.

An alleged accomplice of the thief escaped on a motorcycle. He may have been injured in the shooting and with any luck, died under a bush somewhere.
