The bit about being found in her mother's arms is most likely BS. The fact is that you cannot hold onto a child during an automobile wreck. Let alone an airline crash. The momentum involved with the speed prior to impact and the essentially instantaneous deceleration would result in a 20 lb. child weighing the equivalent of 100's of lbs. for a split second. 1.) You're not strong enough to resist that level of force. 2.) Even if you were (you're not), your muscles couldn't react fast enough. |
