Extraordinary Suicide with a Samurai Sword
Translated from German. Sorry for the extremely low quality pictures. Germany. A 34-year-old man was found dead by his parents in his apartment. His body was found under a specially built stabbing construction. The father and the detectives were initially only able to enter the room via the balcony because the door was secured from the inside with several metal plates and screws. A samurai sword with a blade length of approx. 70 cm was fixed to a cabinet with screws, metal plates, and brackets, which in turn was attached to a smaller cabinet with the help of a tilting hinge. Fig.1 The body was found under a specially built stabbing construction. The construction was also firmly bolted to the floor. The exact position of the sword in relation to the body could be balanced and the fall mechanism controlled via a cable system. The man had covered his naked upper body with a lambskin that was pierced by the samurai sword. A small Japanese combat knife was found near the right hand. Another fallen cabinet was found in the room, showing blood adherents. In addition to two suicide notes, anatomy textbooks, literature on suicide and amphetamines were found in the fridge. The corpse showed a longitudinal, smooth-edged, cranially pointed, approx. 3 cm long stab wound in the left chest. The right lung had already collapsed before the chest was opened, the right chest cavity contained 800 ml of blood. The pericardium and the heart were completely perforated at the level of the aortic valve, there was a longitudinal, notch-shaped defect measuring about 2 cm between the 8th and 9th thoracic vertebrae, and 250 ml of blood were found in the pericardium. In the middle of the upper abdomen, 2 smooth-edged, gaping skin transections, measuring up to 4 cm, were found transverse to the body axis. The upper injury punctured the rectus muscle and opened the anterior stomach wall. Fig.2 Stab wounds and cut on left wrist. Another, smooth-edged, gaping, 5 cm long skin transection was found in the lower abdomen. Protruding intestinal loops, hemorrhagic infarction and bloody tinged intestinal contents could also be seen. The inferior vena cava was also injured. 50 ml of bloody contents were found in the abdominal cavity. On the left wrist, a transversal tendon severance measuring 5.5 × 1.5 cm, tapering off at the wound poles. Next to it was a line-shaped, superficial laceration. There was accumulations of blood in the pericardial sac as well as in the thoracic and abdominal cavities, a major internal blood loss could be assumed. There were no internal diseases. The determination of the alcohol concentration in the venous blood gave a value of 0.00 ‰, and that of the urine 0.06 ‰. The chemical-toxicological examination determined that the man had ingested extremely high doses of amphetamine shortly before his death. Examination of the hair on the head showed excessively high amphetamine and low ecstasy use in a three-month period before death, as well as lower levels of cocaine in the hair. Cause of death: stab wound to the chest with development of cardiac tamponade and haematopneumothorax. Cardiac tamponade happens when the space around your heart fills with blood or other fluid, putting pressure on your heart. Because of the pressure, your heart can't beat correctly, causing a drop in blood pressure. Hemopneumothorax is most frequently caused by a trauma or blunt or penetrating injury to the chest. When the chest wall is injured, blood, air, or both can enter the thin fluid-filled space surrounding the lungs, which is called the pleural space. As a result, the functioning of the lungs is disrupted. - This post is for educational purposes only and is nonprofit. Re: Extraordinary Suicide with a Samurai Sword
I'm not much on the suicide, but I WOULD like to have one of those cute little Japanese tanks to trundle around in. They are just ADORABLE. Like a teacup poodle that thinks it's a Doberman. I saw a video of those in a WWII instructional video for American troops, and they tell you how to jam the turret by putting your lunchbox in the corner of it. I bet you'd hear a LOT of Japanese swearing if you did that! If only they had been crewed by those cute little Japanese tank girls, with their kitty ears on. Too bad they were crewed by guys who wanted to die for the glory of Japan, instead of little girls you could spank until they giggled and surrendered. |

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. Why didn't he use a ceremonial SS dress sword? That would have been more appropriate! |
