On the morning of 29th July 2018, the body of 56 year old Ana Maria da Silva was found inside a suitcase in a sugar cane field in Ipojuca.

52 year old Albertino Fortunato de Oliveira Filho carried out the murder in his rental house the day before. He was arrested a few hours after the discovery of the body.

Albertino states that he had been having an extra-marital affair with Ana for 6 months. He wanted to end the relationship but Ana didn't. To prevent the affair being found out, he killed her.

Albertino had been married for 30 years + has 4 children. Ana had been married for 40 years.

It's like a Lifetime Movie, but set in Brazil.

Extramarital affairs do often go wrong, thankfully not this violently.

Are we just going to skip over the fact that she’d been married at age 16...?

We're talking Brazil........marriage at 16 is the norm, not the exception.

and leaving her half sliced body openly in a sugar cane field he really thought he wouldn't be linked to that?
