Ex-Policeman Shot Dead After Killers Sang Happy Birthday to Him.
Late night on the 1st August, a 36 year old ex cop was assassinated by at least 8 shots. The victim had been sacked after allegations of corruption and had split from his partner with whom he had 3 children. He lived alone and drank a lot. He was getting ready to go to bed when 2 guys knocked on his door, shouting him by name and singing happy birthday (his birthday was on the 27th July). He went to see who his friends were and was shot in the doorway. The killers escaped on a motorcycle they had parked nearby.    |
