Ex-inmate Dead in the River
A male, 19, also a former inmate, according to police information, for assault. The victim's body was found with at least three bullet holes, two in the back and one in the neck. The crime occurred in the Ipojuca River banks, at the same location where it was found. This place is frequented by drug users. The victim was last seen alive on the afternoon of Wednesday (24/02/2016) drinking alcoholic drinks. The family confirmed that the victim who had previously exchanged gunfire with police during a robbery in which his friend was killed. Police are investigating the case.          |

Could have been 'off duty' police. If something like that had happened, I wouldn't object too strongly or be very motivated to pursue any possible investigation too strenuously.  |

Like most places outside town with water, bushes and dirt roads nearby just in case they have to get rid of someone.
