It's actually quite difficult to cut your own throat. You have to get to the cartoid artery, and that's a fair ways in. If you nick a vein, there'll be lots of mess, but not the amount of blood loss that drops your blood pressure to the state where your heart stops. This is why it's so rarely used as a suicide method. |
