Elizabeth Guadalupe Toledo Molina, 21, Beaten and Suffocated in Culiacán, 2009
Elizabeth Guadalupe Toledo Molina, 21, was found beaten and suffocated in a cultivated field near irrigation canal H3 in the municipality of Culiacán, Sinaloa, on July 25, 2009. Her name was also published as Lizeth Guadalupe Toledo Salinas. She had last been seen the previous afternoon leaving home with friends for a party in the Costa Rica district and disappeared during the gathering. Passers-by found her body at about 7:30 a.m., roughly 500 meters from the Canán communal farming settlement. Her family identified and claimed her body later that day. Her father, Sergio Toledo Estrada, had served for four months in 2005 as director of the Sinaloa State Preventive Police. Authorities later summoned friends who had attended the party to testify before prosecutors. No suspect had been publicly named in the initial reporting. |

Could be an ear ring. Rule of thumb in Mexico: if you are in the Government (police, politician) then send your family far far away! Drug lords will kidnap them and kill them or hold them for ransom. Also, cute panties (if they were missing then you could have reasoned she was raped first, but they are still there) |
