Elderly Woman Died After A Construction Accident
On Friday, 13th February, an elderly woman died after being hit by a steel beam that had come loose from the crane in Barra Mansa (137 km from Rio de Janeiro). The incident occurred in the work of a hotel on the street Maria Luiza Gonzaga in Year Good neighborhood when the cable that held the beam on the crane snapped. She was killed instantly. Also, one construction worker was severely injured and was taken to the hospital, where he remained in the ICU after surgery and is still in serious condition.
