Elderly Man Squished into the Asphalt.
A serious traffic accident with fatality was recorded around 09:00 pm this Friday April 4, 2014, at Avenida Presidente Dutra, opposite the First Police Station in Alto de São Manoel. The unidentified victim a man, appearing to be between 65 and 70 years old, his body was crushed by a truck. The first information realize that the victim semitruck on a bicycle when he was forcibly collected by the trailer. The man died at the scene and had body organs, including the heart exposed on the asphalt. The bike was hooked between the rear tires. The driver abandoned the trailer in front of UFERSA and absconded site. |

Those wheels are on extra axles called pony axles and on most trucks are operated from inside the cab with an air valve. The reason you see them on trucks is so that the truck can haul heavier loads, thus increasing the revenue of the truck. When the truck is fully loaded, those wheels must be on the ground to be legal. They can be off the ground when they run over old men.
