Elderly Man Found Dead Suspected Choked To Death
A 75yo man was found dead Thursday 25th December. Source stated he was an asthma sufferer and it was suspected he'd choked on rice. Seems strange due to the blood unless he's been there a while and it's decomp fluid.

choking on rice always happens to me. i was told i have a small esophagus and have a not too smooth surface so i should never eat too dry food. reason why i never eat without lots of water at arms reach.

I don't think he choked on rice. I think he was eating rice when an anuerysm in his throat opened up. A guy I worked with had that happen to his wife. He was riding with someone else on a long trip, and she put a pillow on his lap and went to sleep, and during her sleep, a throat aneurism (sp?) popped, but she reflectively swallowed all the blood, and when they got where they were going and he tried to wake her up, she was a corpse. Also speaking of narrow throats, my younger brother had the same problem, and when he went in for surgery to correct it, they didn't give him enough anasthesia to knock him out, just enough to paralyze him, so he went through the surgery fully concious. When they finished, the doctors were wrapping up, and he finally tried to sit up and ask them if they were finally through with the surgery, and they all about had heart attacks. They were very apologetic, and took care of his pain right then. He never sued them, because he was too nice of a guy. But I can testify that that is NOT an urban legend, or a horror movie. It DOES happen, and it happened to him. My mom was a nurse, and she was livid at the doctors and aneshesiologist. (My aunt was a nursing instructor at Marquette University. and she was pretty irate about it as well) (They both could chew ass pretty well, and according to my brother, who was just sitting there rather dazed, they unloaded both barrels on the doctors one after the other. ) |
