Edgar Fernando Moreno Linan: Coahuila Mayor's Son Found Dead in Monterrey
In May 2016, Edgar Fernando Moreno Linan, 25, son of Ciudad Frontera mayor Amador Moreno Lopez, was discovered dead at a motel in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon's Topo Chico area. Also found dead were a 20-year-old woman and Jesus Villarreal Rios, an employee in his mid-thirties. Moreno Linan had gone to Monterrey for a cockfighting derby. Nuevo Leon investigators said carbon monoxide from a vehicle left running at the motel caused the deaths, and Villarreal was found in the driver's seat. Relatives from both families disputed that conclusion, saying the bodies bore signs of torture.  ·  ·  · |

Carbon monoxide poisoning according to the official version: another man (the chauffeur) was found dead still sitting in the car in the place of the driver (the engine of the car was still running). However, friends of the relatives of the victims, claimed that the bodies showed signs of torture, so god only knows what really happened...
