ummm, no.
it IS safe to say they were on a magic carpet ride and then the magic left the carpet, and boom they hit the pavement. then... the response team responded and backed into the big ass mess that was already there. then the response team played around with the remains, making it appear as though what you said was a possibility. Those crazy first responders are like that.
