Don't Take Strange Sailors Home to Your Bed
On 20th March 2018, the body of 38 year old Cláudia Helena Gaspar was found at her home in Paranagua, Brazil. She was killed by blows to the head from a bottle + a stone (though I have also read that she was stabbed to death). There was blood on the floor + walls. She was killed by Filipino sailor (crew member of cargo ship MV Star Lygra) Rodney Aribal Carvajal aged 31. Cláudia + Rodney had met at the nightclub that she worked. She invited him to her home to spend the night + they took a taxi there. The taxi driver claims that Rodney looked strange + seemed to be checking out the area. When Cláudia didn't turn up to work, friends/family called round to her house + saw the bloody scene. Rodney was arrested + even though he had a suitcase that contained bloody clothes + a bandage round his hand, he denied the killing at first.        |
