Re: Dogs Eating Corpses.
With stage 4 cancer and 2 older German Shepherds that worship my every breath, might need to do another study. seriously. They may try dragging me around the house for a few days, but eat me? doubt it. Guess i couldn't allow them to get that hungry for the study. If i decide to do it ill have someone post. promise. |

Except your dogs will probably be put down after your remains are found. Society frowns on pets who consume human flesh. Desperation or not, unfortunately. |

Re: Dogs Eating Corpses.
Dogs usually prefer fresh meat, rather than kibble. Of course they're going to dig into the carcass of a body, even when there's a plentiful supply of dog food around. They decapitate the body and chew into the skull, to access the brain. The brain is made of fat and is a nutritious and coveted piece, like the liver. When you die, you become meat. You are no longer a pack member. |

Re: Dogs Eating Corpses.
Dogs will eat their owners after death especially if there is no one there to feed them. It's really no different then people eating other people in order to survive. It's been done many times already and it will happen again. You do what you've got to do. |
