Dog Found Carrying Missing Woman's Arm in Latacunga, Ecuador, June 2023
Residents in the eastern Latacunga neighbourhood of San Martin, capital of Ecuador's Cotopaxi province, contacted police on Thursday, June 22, 2023, after seeing a stray dog with a human arm. Officers followed the dog and located the body of a 22-year-old woman who had been reported missing about a week earlier. She was originally from Santo Domingo de los Tsachilas province. Police said she had been stabbed, was killed about 48 hours before being found, and her body was later taken to the location. They said animals and rodents had removed the arm, rather than the person who killed her. No arrest was reported in the coverage.  ·  ·  ·  · |
