A 58-year-old female doctor was shot dead at Governor Gutierrez Avenue, Cotabato City, not within the province itself but geographically (not administratively) part of Maguindanao, Philippines on October 9, 2017. Here's the full description:

COTABATO CITY – Hindi na umabot pa ng buhay sa pagamutan ang isang doktora makaraang pagbabarilin ng dipa nakikilalang mga salarin sa kahabaan ng Governor Gutierrez Avenue dito sa lungsod alas 4:25 ng hapon kanina.

Nakilala ang biktima na si Dra. Amalia Gutierrez, nasa tamang edad at residente rin ng lungsod.

Ayon sa inisyal na impormasyon na nakalap ng Brigada News FM mula sa mga police investigator ng Police Station 2, sakay ang biktima ng kanyang service vehicle na isang Ford Everest na kulay brown at may plate # KEL 921 nang maganap ang pamamaril.

Nagawa pa umanong makalabas ng biktima sa kanyang sasakyan ngunit pinaputukan ulit ito sa kanyang ulo na dahilan ng kanyang agarang kamatayan.

Nagpapatuloy pa ang imbestigasyonng mga otoridad sa nasabing panibagong insidente ng pamamaril sa syudad.

Doctor shot to death!!!

COTABATO CITY - A female doctor died upon arrival at a hospital when she was shot by unidentified suspects along Governor Gutierrez Avenue in this city [Cotabato City] at 4:25 PM today [October 9, 2017].

The victim is identified as Dr. Amalia Gutierrez, of legal age and resident of this city.

According to the preliminary information obtained by Brigada News FM from the police investigators of Police Station 2, the victim was riding on her brown Ford Everest service vehicle with the plpate number KEL 921 when the shooting occurred.

The victim tried to get out of the vehicle, but shots fired that struck her head the caused her immediate death.

The authorities are continuing their investigation regarding the said shooting incident in this city.
