The ME says the burn damage was postmortem. And actually, there wasn't much in the way of burning to begin with; just a lot of gasoline. Operative theory at present is that they doused her corpse with gas and tried to burn it, but it failed to ignite properly so they opted for a shallow grave instead. And it is Brazil, so drugs are a distinct possibility, but her father was a wealthy businessman so kidnapping/ransom is equally possible. |
