These pics are from medical education classes... reminds me of medical school. In fact, you can clearly tell by the artificially colored blood vessels. It is common practice in the US for the donated cadavers to have their arteries colored red and their veins colored blue posthumously for educational/anatomical purposes. I'm not a spiritual person and am deeply grateful for what the donors gave me in educational value. That being said, these bodies are a mess and in many pieces when the anatomy session is all said and done. Back when I was in training, these people request that they are cremated and they all have their remains collected and taken care of to the best of their wishes. |
