In Mymensingh, Bangladesh, the body of a 22-year-old university student, Omar F., was found in a suitcase which had been found under a bridge. Omar's head and legs had been severed, and the head was found in a polythene container.

Police reported that Omar had secretly married his cousin, infuriating the cousin's father, Ilyas Uddin. It transpired that the cousin had married another man three years previously, something Omar was apparently unaware of.

After learning of the previous marriage, Omar went to Mymensingh to talk to his cousin's first husband's family. Learning of his presence in the city, Ilyas and his son, Asaduzzaman, called Omar to their house, where they stabbed and dismembered him. They then dumped the body into a river. Ilyas, his son, and the driver of the car used to dump the body, have all been arrested.

Case of mistaken marriage ... what's happened to the girl?

The murder is not forgivable, but the root cause was the girl was married three years and didn't tell her lover? Also, that part of the world still forces young girls to marry others for money or social status. We really don't know the situation here, but I would hope that the investigators go back and look at the reasons for the marriage. Oh, wait, the conservative cops do the same to their daughters!

At least they lined the suitcase with a plastic liner. It can still be used for travel.
