Okay, so, for me, right now, it is around 9:30am. The sun hits the East Coast before it hits us, so they are ahead of us. It is 10:30am there. Then the sun hits us, the Central people, so it's 9:30am here. After that, the sun hits the mountainous states in Mountain Time, so it's 8:30am there. It then hits the West Coast (Pacific Coast), where it is 7:30am right now. Alaska is in it's own time zone. It's 6:30am there, but because it's so large, part of it falls into the same time zone as Hawai'i, where it is 5:30am. After typing all that out, it is now 9:42am, but I don't want to go back and change all the numbers :P It gets more complicated when you get into daylight savings time. Like, the whole rest of the USA (more or less, some towns are weird and choose for themselves, but for now, we are ignoring them) has Daylight Savings Time. However, Arizona, as a state, has decided they don't want it, so they switch between Pacific Coast time and Mountain Time. Er.. yeah, I hope that's not too confusing.. |
