It depends on the person that is into the acts. One explaination is that some of these that use women clothes arent actually transvestites but use female garments for another reason. They are attracted to strangulations of females and at the same time feeling the strangulation themselves. So when they strangle themselves they are both the murderer and the victim. Female garments in male cases of AEA have been found in general 20-30% of the cases. Women could identify with the victim so there is probobly no need to cross-dress. However women can also like males use bondage and clothes that comes with it to enhance the experience. I also have to point out that every individual is unique and the motivation most probobly differs from each case.
