You can't tell what caliber the bullets are from the X-Ray. They could be .22's for all we know.

I can tell you this, though, she wouldn't have been able to do this with a .45 because that isn't a small caliber.

Women often go for the chest because they have an instinctual aversion to doing damage to the face.
