Decomposing Body of Filipina Found Bound and Floating in the Sea
Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines The decomposing body of a 35-year-old beauty queen, Acquene Arradaza, was found by fishermen drifting in the water off the coast of a seaside village on 4th August. She was found naked, gagged, and blindfolded, with her feet and hands bound, and with a bicycle lock tied around her neck. Tattoos on her back confirmed her identity. Acquene had been abducted whilst shopping for groceries in Ormoc City on 31st July. Surveillance camera footage captured a Toyota Wigo - license plate 1799 - pulling over near the shoulder before three men stormed out and forcibly bundled the model into the vehicle. It is then thought Acquene was murdered, hogtied, and weighed down with rocks. For unknown reasons, Acquene's family only reported her disappearance on 4th August - the day her body was found. The model's sister, Patricia, revealed the beauty queen had been speaking to a man, Pay-ap D., the same morning she was abducted. Acquene's brother, 30-year-old Eros, had been killed in a gunfight with police during a drug bust. |
