Decapitated Body with Bullet Wounds Found in Rural Area
Aracataca, Magdalena, Colombia The decapitated corpse of a young man, Jair B., was found in a rural area of Aracataca. The head was found stuck on a fence post, while the body was found on a dirt road. Aracataca, perhaps best known as the birthplace of author Gabriel García Márquez and being the inspiration for the fictional town of Macondo in his "One Hundred Years of Solitude", has recently experienced heightened tensions from disputes between armed groups. However, no motive behind the murder has yet been ascribed.       |

In recent hours, authorities reported the discovery of a man's body in the area known as "La Quesera" in the municipality of Aracataca. The victim was identified as Jair B. According to initial information, the body was found decapitated near a recreational area in the same area. |
