Just a compilation I decided to put together in time for Halloween. Some are new, but some are old incidents that I don't think have been posted on this site before.

1. In Bahia de Caraquez, Manabí, Ecuador, a man, identified only by the alias 'Carlitos', was shot dead by sicarios.



2. In Playas, Guayas, Ecuador, 37-year-old Nery A.P. was shot dead by multiple sicarios outside a shop.


3. In Chiriguaná, Cesar, Colombia, an old man identified as Mane Y. was murdered with a machete. Unofficially, the crime was committed by two men who had arrived on the scene on a motorcycle.





4. In Prek Pnov district, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a man and a woman on a motorbike were killed when they were run over by a truck.

Based on the garbled translation of a Khmer news report, it seems what happened is that the truck struck two motorcycles. The rider of the first motorcycle managed to jump off, avoiding harm, but the man and woman on the second motorbike weren't so lucky.








5. In Jaguapitã, Paraná, Brazil, a truck driver, identified only as Cezinha, hanged himself from his vehicle's cabin. In WhatsApp audio messages he left for a friend, he confirmed he was feeling depressed after the end of a romantic relationship.



6. In San José de Ocoa, Dominican Republic, a man, Yeison H.B., murdered his partner, Daniela T., before shooting himself in the head.





7. In ​​Cerritos de Quepos, Puntarenas, Costa Rica, two 21-year-old women, identified only by their surnames - Guevara and Padilla - were found murdered. Padilla was the daughter of a public force official.

The two women had reportedly attended a party the night before. They were then transported to a bridge, where they were killed.





8. In December 2022, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, a man, believed to be around 30 years old, was killed with a bladed weapon. The man was almost completely beheaded in the process.





9. In December 2023, in the Piantini district of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a 27-year-old Venezuelan woman, Yenny C.P.C., was murdered with a shot to the heart and was then dismembered by an Italian man, Michael Sosa.

Michael had rented an Airbnb, and assisted by several people, he arrived at the scene with several suitcases. A few hours later, Yenny arrived at the scene, and told the taxi driver to return for her in two hours.

When she failed to return, the taxi driver informed Yenny's sister, who in turn called the police to investigate Michael. When police arrived at the apartment, they found Michael speaking incoherently, seemingly high on drugs. Blood was found spattered on the floor and walls, and the torso of Yenny was found inside a suitcase. Found inside the fridge was Yenny's head and part of her thighs.




10. In April 2018, in San Salvador, El Salvador, 24-year-old Ronald A.L.H. was arrested after he murdered 64-year-old security guard Rogelio C.G. by stabbing and beheading him, before putting on his victim's blood-soaked shirt and sodomizing his corpse.

Ronald, who was caught 'in flagrante delicto', told police that he had killed Rogelio because he had stolen his cell phone, but the phone was not found amongst the victim's belongings.

Ronald had been suffering from severe mental problems for years, with his mother and brothers ultimately leaving him behind due to his aggressive tendencies. In 2019, he was sentenced to eighteen years in a psychiatric hospital.




11. In July 2019, in Arauquita, Arauca, Colombia, a 25-year-old man, Ciro A.V.R., was killed, with his body being torn apart, when his motorbike exploded whilst he was riding it.

According to police, Ciro, who belonged to a local guerrilla network, seemed to have been carrying explosives when, presumably due to "chemical and environmental factors", it exploded prematurely. A passenger accompanying Ciro was seriously injured in the blast.





12. In November 2017, in Ratanakkiri province, Cambodia, an 18-year-old girl, Brolong K., was found to have hanged herself due to a "broken heart". According to the report, Brolong was in love with a man, even losing her virginity to him, but he did not reciprocate her feelings. After eight months, Brolong called the man to tell him she no longer loved him, before hanging herself.






13. In September 2015, in Kandal province, Cambodia, 47-year-old Pich S., and her 43-year-old husband, Nuon S., were killed when, whilst riding a motorbike, they were run over by a Hyundai.





14. In July 2016, in Sa Thiam district, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, the decomposing body of a man was found in what appears to be some construction/renovation project. No further details.






15. In December 2016, in Sánchez Magallanes, Tabasco, Mexico, a decomposing body of a woman washed up on a beach. The body was found to belong to 18-year-old Trinidad A.M., who had gone missing three days before when the Cessna 210 on which she was a passenger crashed.

16. In August 2020, in Bago Region, Myanmar, a couple were found to have hanged themselves. By the time they were found, they were in a severe stage of decomposition. They were identified as a 33-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman.



17. In April 2017, in Franco da Rocha, São Paulo, Brazil, a woman was stabbed by 26-year-old Olian W.d.S., who then proceeded to dismember her body. Parts of the woman's body were found in plastic bags.

Ten days later, Olian, who had been released on parole after an armed robbery, was arrested in Minas Gerais.





18. In October 2017, in the Volgograd region of Russia, an Uzbek farm worker was killed after he was caught by the drive shaft of a machine.


19. In September 2015, in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, a sub-inspector, Narendra K.T., was killed after being run over by a ten-wheeler truck.
