I have a picture some where of me with the woodchipper off stomping a branch into the hopper. From the angle it looked epic, i was also told i was not to be left alone with the machinery!

I started having Seizures several years ago in my life, and I am so fucking glad I had my first one whilst I was at home sleeping in the middle of my living room with my mom and sisters around me, basically the best position possible. Cause I fly my grandfathers 68 aero-commander darter and drive and do all kinds of stuff that would be fatal to have a first time seizure. So god knows this could've been me one day if I didn't have that seizure that night and start changing my life to not get hurt by them. Phew bad reminder we aren't all so lucky.

I had a very similar experience when i was working as a green keeper on a golf course, we had a contract company come in to chip the waste and he had a deaf, mute and mildly disabled work experience boy with him. The boy ended up feeding the waste into the chipper while i forked the chippings onto the trailer and the contractor and my colleague chainsawed tree trunks to feed to the boy to chip. Next thing i knew was when the boys hands landed at my feet still in the protective gloves we gave him, he had severed both hands from the arms and the remains were mince. We bandaged his hands with clothing and called an ambulance. He succesfully sued for an undisclosed amount and i doubt he works shredding trees anymore. Was the single worst experience of my life.

It's no wonder his lawsuit was successful. Who gets a mildly disabled (does this mean retarded?) deaf-mute boy to work with dangerous machinery?
