When services are cut to the bone the quality is nil as is the humanity. Mentally ill patients are the least cared for in most societies because they are the hardest to love.

Have you worked in a mental hospital  I have and I don't see what you are talking about. You are dealing with people fully functional except the catatonics. Who have nothing to do but think how to get out. All mental disease seem to cycle and somedays you are talking to someone normal and then a week later they are on your back biting and hitting. These people are hard to take care of. And my respect goes out to those who try to care for them.
