bit more about the barbershop execution. The victim was a journalist and correspondent of Channel 6 and news presenter for Cablemar. He had requested protection from the police authorities on Friday afternoon, since according to him, he felt that he was being followed by unknown persons. However, his request was not heard or received a response from the authorities in the area. His fellow communicators in the area assure that it is due to the strong criticism he made of organizations operating in that city. In 2014 he escaped death when he was driving a car he owned and on the highway he was intercepted by unknown persons, who shot him repeatedly and fortunately for him and his companion/passenger, they were both unharmed. He's the become the 79th victim since October 2001 and the third so far this year when it comes to journalists and tv/radio hosts. So far, only 7 cases of people linked to these murders, have been caught and sentenced, the remaining 72 cases are unsolved. |
