Death Mix (Brazil, Venezuela, Cambodia)
1. On the morning of 2nd January 2020 in Natal (Brazil), 23 year old R.C.D.C. committed suicide by jumping from a bridge. 'R's aunt stated that she killed herself due to unrequited love. 'R' leaves a young daughter. 2. On the morning of 2nd January 2020 in the São João community (Brazil), the body of a man was found. The man, who was half-naked with a rope tied around his neck, had been stabbed several times. Local residents state that the man had been arguing with his partner the previous day, from the afternoon to night time.   3. On 26th December 2019 in El Escobal (Venezuela), 23 year old W.Y.P.U. went missing. 'W', a national guard, had gone out to work his second job as an ice cream seller but never returned home. The next morning, his wife saw photos on social media of 'W's decapitated corpse. The day later, 'W's wife, along with other relatives, went in search for 'W's body. On the 29th in Ureña, 3 men were captured with a sack containing 'W's head.        4. On 1st July 2018 in Machado (Brazil), the charred + decapitated body of a man was found.   5. On 20th December 2019 in Cambodia, 88 year old Dr. K.K.P. passed away. The funeral of the professor was held on the 23rd.

You must have a special Google or something! These are all terrible (as in the events themselves) but somehow number 1 has the greater poignancy for me. To kill yourself over unrequited love seems more pathetic than what went wrong for the murder victims. |
