Death Mix (Brazil, Mexico)
1. On the afternoon of 17th April 2020 in the Tarumã neighbourhood (Brazil), the body of a man was found. The man had been beaten + shot 7 times in his head.       2. On the morning of 11th April 2020 in the Cidade de Deus neighbourhood (Brazil), a bus robbery lead to the death of one of the culprits. 3 people robbed a bus but when they fled the crime scene, only 2 got away. The young robber was chased by locals + lynched. He was beaten to death with wood + stones.   3. In the early hours of 24th March 2020 in the Guerrero neighbourhood (Mexico), 25 year old N.N.G. was shot dead. 'N', a trans sex worker, had been arguing with 2 men when they opened fire + shot him. 1 bullet hit him in the head. Later that morning, the 2 men were arrested for the murder after they crashed their getaway car. Both men, 30 year old A.A. + 32 year old J.L., are soldiers. His funeral was held on the morning of the 26th.          4. On the afternoon of 10th April 2020 in Villahermosa (Mexico), 34 year old I.D. was found dead in the Grijalva river. The previous afternoon, 'I' was drunk when he decided to enter the river. He couldn't manage to stay afloat + drowned.   5. On the morning of 29th March 2020 on the Federal Cárdenas motorway (Mexico), the rider of a motorbike died after he was hit by a police car. One of the man's legs were completely destroyed.    6. On the morning of 15th April 2020 in Castanhal (Brazil), 2 security guards were found dead. A.R.C.D.O. + J.G.D.S. had been arguing when things turned deadly. 'J' shot 'A' in the head then took his own life.

security guards gone wild! i worked in security briefly in my life and i would always think about what happened if one of us just went nuts and started shooting. the security desk these guys left behind is an eerie symbol of the dichotomy within man. we are base animals attempting to uphold lofty ideals of law and order. |
