i try hard to understand people who think like you. just wondering what happens one day (hypothetically) when your own kid brings the family dog for a walk and shortly, the police comes by to tell you that one of them got run over by a lorry. would you say the same shit as above?

There's two reasons, I think. One being animals are pretty much the epitome of innocence, so we feel worse when they suffer. And humans are not. Some people have a real lack of faith in humanity, and see the majority as parasitic. I don't think I need to explain why losing an animal would be more saddening than losing a human, in that case. The other reason is maybe they're just used to people's suffering, have become numb to it, but not to the suffering of animals. |

Honestly i think it sucks the horse died but at the same time it might have been for the best it looked like he woulda died of starvation if not for him being hit with the motorcycle

really? Of course a human life is more valuable than an animals (usually anyways). Theres quite a difference between my own child or any child for that matter being killed and looking at photos of people I could give a fuck about who are dead.
