Death Discussion Thread

I've always wanted to have a section of this site dedicated to discussing death, but sadly nothing has ever come of it. With this thread (which I'm hoping that can stay + will be pinned for easy access), this can be where we can chat amongst ourselves.

Guidelines for the thread:

*Please keep on topic, this thread is specifically to discuss death + the death sections.

*Feel free to pose questions to each other. Maybe you would like to find out more about a certain aspect of death, which other members, who are knowledgeable on that particular matter, can answer for you.

*There's many members here who work in funeral homes, morgues, rescue services + the like. Their expertise can give you an insight into what actually happens in various circumstances.

*Also, if there's anything you feel needs improving in the death sections, or just want to give thanks to others, you can mention it here.

*Like the video request thread in the death video section, you can do the same in this thread but for photos.

RE: Death mixes

The content that I would usually post in death mixes will mainly end up in one of 2 new threads. Doing it this way, not only allows others to add their finds, but I can post more frequently as I'm doing it as I go along, instead of waiting until I have enough for a death mix.

So, if you're a fan of the death mixes, make sure that you're regularly checking the following 2 threads for new content:

*Dead Men Thread*

*Dead Women Thread*

Re: Death Discussion Thread

Case request:

I did ask about this when I joined a few years ago, but I never had any proper responses.

Back in the early 90s, I read a story in a UK magazine (it was either Best or Bella) that scared the shit out of me! It was of a boy who had been left inside a car alone (if memory serves me right, he was eating something sweet at the time) + a swarm of hornets surrounded the car. Eventually, they managed to get inside the car + stung the boy to death.

I have never found this case again, so I can read it as an adult, but it's always stuck with me. Does anyone know of the case?

Re: Death Discussion Thread

I don’t know of that case but I remember reading about someone who was caught between a vehicle & a tree or maybe it was another vehicle & she was awake & talking for some time until whatever crushed her was moved & then she bled out.. I’ve never been able to come across it again.. Of course my recollection could be way off.. It could have been a bloke & may not have involved vehicles..

Re: Death Discussion Thread

The worst was a gay on gay type crime it was a homicide up in the Castro district. Some rich guy brought home some homeless guy well he got killed by same person. When they found him this sick mfer put the rich gay guy up on the bedpost at end of bed it was not a pretty sight. I still to this very day can’t get the image of that guy sitting there f ing dude even tied him up to slowly lower him on it. Probably torture we don’t know. Oh well one of many.

This sounds familiar but I remember it being a bloke.
But the scenario is exactly what you described.

You’re probably right! Would love to read about it again if you or anyone else know any details..

Re: Death Discussion Thread

Unfortunately, the thread hasn't been pinned, so it's slipped right down + out of view.

I'd like honest opinions from any of you with regards to watermarks on photos (obviously discussing it on videos isn't an option, as it goes on automatically). How do you all feel about us watermarking the photos that we post on here?

I had been against it for a few years, but Chris has told me to do so due to the insane amount of sites that leech our content (+ have done for many years). Why should others get credit for hours + hours worth of research? Not to mention the images that have been posted here that have either been privately paid for, have been very hard to get hold of, or were just simply exclusive to the person posting.

I personally hate watermarks on images + videos. But I hate people who take credit for other people's work even more.

So, please, let me know how you all stand on this. If it's making your viewing not as 'enjoyable' (not the right word, but you know what I mean), I think that it's fair that only paid for sets + exclusive sets are watermarked + everything else should be left as it is.

This has been bothering me for the last few weeks, so I'd really like some feedback. Obviously by not watermarking, it makes it a lot easier for the fucktards to claim our work, but I'd rather that than it ruin it for DR members. I think that most places that post gore are fully aware of the hardworking members we have here + know that the majority of such sites take our content.

Thanks for any input.

Edit 16/06: For the time being, I'm changing the colour of the watermark from purple to black. I'm also making it tiled + faint on most images (there are exceptions, of course + not all images will be watermarked).
