By the look of it, it *could* be a Nambu pistol that's been fiddled with to get it operational again - I'd guess that maybe it was deactivated and that the guy rigged up a working mechanism. That or it's a scratch-built thing that happens to resemble the Nambu - this was a Japanese pistol (bit like the Luger, I can see the resemblance) and, to be honest, the real thing was about as rickity and shoddy as this one EDIT: Turns out this is my first post too... Heh, thanks. Forgot to show my workings - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nambu_pistol/ The standard ammunition differs both in calibre and general shape, but if it's been messed with to start with who knows whether a different barrel and/or chamber was cobbled on... It looks like Cyrillic on the grip, too, but I can't make out all of the letters. |
