DR. the body of a Ana.E.A, 56, was found this afternoon in front of the house where she lived with her partner.

According to neighbors, she allegedly used a sharp object to cause her own death. They also indicated that she experienced episodes of emotional instability and that she supposedly took advantage of her partner being asleep to carry out the act that resulted in her death. She also exhibited signs of a declining mood in recent months, which had alarmed those who knew her.

A young woman named Yeni Erlin Wijayanti (21), a resident of Jalan Cempaka Putih Muara Teweh, North Barito Regency was murdered by her boyfriend Aspihani (21), a resident of Apung Village RT 03 Limpasu District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan because of jealousy.

"According to the results of the examination of the suspect Aspihani, he admitted to his actions in killing Yeny, on the evening of August 29 2016 because of jealousy," said North Barito Police Chief, AKBP Roy Sihombing to reporters in Muara Teweh, Monday.

Yeny's body, the murder victim, was found in a gruesome state behind a resident's house located on Jalan Pendreh, Muara Teweh.

According to Police Chief Roy, from the suspect's confession, the incident began with the victim inviting the suspect to go for a walk.

The victim then picked up the suspect using a Satria F motorbike, at the suspect's residence, namely at a restaurant on Jalan Panglima Batur Muara Teweh.

"Based on the suspect's confession during the examination, there was a romantic relationship between the victim and the suspect (they were dating) for approximately two months," said the Police Chief.

While walking around the city of Muara Teweh that night, the victim received a call from someone who made the suspect jealous. Then while on Jalan Pendreh at around 8:00 PM WIB, the suspect asked the victim to hand over her cellphone, with the intention of finding out who the person who called the victim, but at that time Yeny refused to give her cellphone voluntarily, until an argument occurred between them (the suspect wanted to seize the victim's cellphone).

During the argument, the victim hit and pushed the suspect until he fell into a shallow ravine, then the suspect climbed back up, and immediately stabbed the victim in the stomach (solar) with a kitchen knife he brought from home.

The perpetrator told the police that he brought the knife when traveling for self-defense. "When stabbing the victim, at that time the knife handle broke so the knife was still stuck in the victim's body," explained Roy.

The victim, who was at that time helpless, was then carried by the suspect to the back of a resident's house, which was at that time empty or left by the owner outside.

"It was behind the house that the victim, who was still alive, was raped by the suspect. While having sex with the victim, the suspect also stuffed his underwear in the victim's mouth and covered her nose to prevent her from screaming," he said.

After the suspect had finished venting his lust and ensuring the victim was no longer moving (dead), the suspect left the scene and took the victim's motorbike to escape to South Kalimantan.

However, thanks to clues or evidence found by the police at the location where the victim's body was found, one of which was the suspect's wallet containing his identity card which fell out during the rape, the police finally managed to arrest the suspect.

The suspect was arrested at a house in Barabai, South Kalimantan without resistance on Thursday.
