A macabre murder was recorded yesterday morning at the OTB Villa Pucara, Sivingani area, south of the city of Cochabamba. The crime left dismay and fear in neighbors who found the corpse of a young woman who was strangled with the shoelace.

Neighbors and police officers do not rule out that it is a new case of femicide, which will be confirmed or ruled out with the investigation carried out by the Special Force to Combat Violence (Felcv) of the Integral Police Station (EPI) of the south.

According to the departmental police commander, Raúl Grandy, the woman, between 20 and 25 years old, shows signs of violence and strangulation.

"The discovery of the body was reported between 05:30 and 06:00 in the morning. This is a woman who shows signs of violence at the neck. The investigation and the collection of evidence is in charge of the Felcv ", advanced the police authority.

CRIME SCENE

The body was on one side of the cobblestone, wearing blue jean pants, black blouse, black jacket, brown scarf and white sneakers. What caught the attention of police officials was the condom that was found near the body.

It is not ruled out that the girl, before being hanged, had been sexually abused.

At the time that Felcv agents were carrying out the legal removal of the body, neighbors pointed out that the girl is not from the area. In addition, no personal identification was found among the deceased's clothing.

A homicide was registered in the early hours of the morning of this Saturday, 28th March 2020, in the city of Santa Rita, in the Metropolitan Region of João Pessoa.
