flashpoint has always made solid, reliable posts here. Whatever his sources are, half the shit he finds are things that Kelly, Mort, and I don't even have ready access to. And here you are, as ignorant as the day is long and twice as useless as tits on a boarhog, calling out fakes that are obviously real.

I'm being a lot more polite here than I wish to be, because flaming outside the WC is frowned upon. But I'm not sure how politely I can put the following piece of advice:

"Piss off. Make a meaningful contribution here or stop harassing those that do."

It is and it isn't.

Technically, a person is 'hanged' if someone else hangs them, as in a judicial execution. If someone commits suicide, then they are said to have 'hung' themselves.

I had my doubts about the first one also. There are no indications of trauma to the body and the "blood" looks suspiciously like dried paint. In the one place it is still wet there is no obvious connection to the body. And she just looks alive. Now please don't take offense: I'm just conveying my impressions. I appreciate flashpoint and all the diligent posters - anybody could get fooled once in a while.

I don't get offended when people doubt the authenticity of a photo and provide a well-thought, meaningful rationale as to why they have concerns about the image.

I get pissy with terminal lurkers who never contribute anything aside from a terse "Looks fake!" now and again. No explanation, no rationale, no courtesy. Just a curt 'fake!' and never EVER any 'thanks' for all the hard work flashpoint does in researching images.

All that said, I still disagree with you. The blood looks exactly the way congealed blood looks after it has had a little time to dry. She looks dead to me and I know that 95% of flashpoint's images come right from the newspaper or official news sites. So unless one of the media outlets he uses deliberately printed a fake photo and sold it as real, I trust that he did the due diligence on the images.

Edit: I sourced the image to several news sites and, as I suspected, it is 100% real and legitimate. I have a name for the victim, but site rules prevent me from posting it. Any of you wannabe detectives who still have doubts can do your own research. The murder occurred near Povoado Angical in Brazil. The girl was shot 3 times by a drunken ex-boyfriend.
