Re: Dead Truck Driver

cars and trucks need black box recorders in them so we can hear the last seconds before the wreck

Re: Dead Truck Driver

This happens all too frequently in my business. If we leave too much room , damn cars sqeeze in and take away all of our stopping space, so we get in the habit of not leaving enough space and get so used to it that we dont think about it.Plus due to too many idiots chattering on the cb we dont hear of traffic being stopped in front of us so before we know it, we are having to slam on the brakes when we had been moving smoothly at 65-70 mph.Really have to be on your toes and try to see past the truck in front of you.

Re: Dead Truck Driver

Something must've been wrong before the impact. I would've veered either left or right (whichever way looked like less damage) before rearending the truck.

Re: Dead Truck Driver

Accidents happen so fast most people dont even get time to take their foot offf of the accelerator or turn the wheel.Just the time it takes to check your mirrors or get distracted and bingo.
