I think drowning would be a horrible way to go. I mean I geuss if you could hold your breath until you passed out..but that urge to breathe, I don't think I could fight that for very long. Then you would inhale water. When I accidentally inhale a few drops of saliva it is very uncomfortable! I think it would be like the underwater death of the dad on the movie posideon. He inhales water, chokes, inhales some more......But when it comes to scuba, would you just run out of air, and not really know it? I think one of best ways to go would be hypoxia. On a plane perhaps, without knowing it. Apparently you just get sleepy, and can even experience a euphoric feeling near the end....saw that on discovery.  |

Not 100% sure about this story as it came from Russia. A body was found in the river and people thought it was some one who had recently drowned by later it turn out to be someone who had drowned years ago.
