Re: Dead Illegal Immigrant in South Texas
I agree it is the same here in the U.S. . We can't give this country away to the fuckers fast enough. They get welfare checks, drivers licenses, and now in some states even free college while I bust my ass to pay for my daughter to go to college. And on top of it all my elected govornment debates day and night about how to give them a fast track to citizenship. Hey my ancestors had a fast track to U.S. citizenship they fought and a couple died in a damn revolution for starters and we have had familly in every battle since. They played by the rules worked damn hard, and raised there kids to do the same. I want to make clear I have no problem with people coming to this country leagally and becoming citizens. That has been and what will continue to be what make this country great. However how can anyone defend a group or cause who's name starts off with the word ILLEGAL. Many Immigrants come to this country legally every year paying thousands of dollars and go through a very hard process to become U.S. citizens. What are we saying to these people who have followed the rules and did it right if we let the illegals in on some bullshit political pass? I think it would be a slap in the face of those who have followed the rules. Lets also not forget what is going on along the U.S. Mexican border right now. There is a full blown drug war going on. Many of those involved are the very illegals the U.S. government wants to "fast track to citizenship". I think before we start worrying about fighting wars in eveyone else's countries we had better get our own house in order and secure our own borders . |

Re: Dead Illegal Immigrant in South Texas
Agapeti You make a very important point that people on this thread need to understand. Most of us here in the U.S. do not have a problem with legal immigration. In fact many of us myself included are in favor of it . Giving others a chance to come here and become legal citizens is one of the most important things about this country. The issue is people who enter this country Illegally. Many get involved in the drug trade or other areas of crime and cause the problems like we see in the Southwest right now. Even the one's who are not causing crime related problems and are "just working" are at best trapped in a low wage underground economy with no legal protections or at worst they just like the trash in our innercities learn to scam the welfare system putting an even higher load on a already overloaded system. |
