I have spent time in the Dominican Republic which shares the island with Haiti. Haiti was, and now even more so, is a shit hole of crime and is inhabited by animals. It's a shame the the entire population wasn't eliminated.

During natural disasters, there have been many people that have taken advantage of the area being overrun with bodies piled everywhere, and they may not have liked someone, so they can just "add one" to the pile, and no one would probably ever question it. It would be assumed that they died in the rubble somewhere.

That's pretty sick, but it totally makes sense, with thousands and thousands of deaths all taking place at the same time, there is no time to investigate every single one of them individually, so they'll just dump all of the unclaimed bodies in mass graves like if they were nothing more than mere garbage.
