Dead Body of Man Found in Septic Tank
Dead Body of Man Found in Septic Tank Kuala Lumpur, .. A stinking smell emanating from a water tank led police to a gruesome find at a service apartment in Jalan Semantan, Bukit Damansara on Tuesday. Brickfields police chief ACP Muhammad Azlee Abdullah said the mutilated body of a local man, 43, with no injuries reported was found in a septic tank. "We received a report from residents living nearby that a bad odour was emanating from the tank. Upon inspection, police found the mutilated body of a man," Azlee told reporters in a press conference at Brickfields police headquarters today. He said following the gruesome find, police have recorded statements from the victim's brother. "According to victim's brother, he has been working in a automotive spare parts shop in Sungai Way for the past three years," Azlee said adding that victim has no previous criminal records. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and the victim's body had been sent to University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for post-mortem. "Checks of CCTV footage did not help investigations as there was no surveillance around the water tank area," he said. Meanwhile in a separate case, police nabbed a 25-year-old man believed to be actively involved with snatch theft and robbery for the past one year. "The modus operandi for this case is that the suspect and we believe his friends are involved with snatch theft and armed robbery especially in areas around Taman Desa and Seri Petaling. "We arrested the suspect on May 8 following a tip-off opposite a convenient store in Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park," said Azlee. He said checks of the suspect's sling bag found fake pistols, some keys, two smart phones and a knife. The suspect has been remanded for five days until Monday for investigations under Section 394, 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for armed robbery and gang robbery. Police are now hunting for his friends and with the arrest, Azlee believes four robbery cases around Taman Desa and NPE petrol kiosk have been solved. |

Re: Dead Body of Man Found in Septic Tank
i was wondering the same thing. I read no injuries but he was mutilated. Than I see the photo says water tank, refuting what OP said in post. I found an article that is titled "man found dead in septic tank" but than starts the article off with him being found in a water tank. Maybe that's what they call them over there? |
