in asia, many have that reasoning that goes like this..." It's just a few blocks away so i dont need to wear protective gears." putting it on and taking it off seems to be a bother to them. They dont stop and think that most motorcycle accidents happened just a few blocks away from home. Distances where people tend to relax and ease off their road cautions. then wham.... one driver feeling the same way slams into them...
