Look at the condition of the tire that's on him, it's almost bald; maybe the trucker couldn't stop quick enough because of that and was probably on the road illegally.

It's not like he he had camo on... he was pretty visible from everywhere with those colours.
But maybe again those huge trucks have seats so high that they can't see what it under them... and there you go.
