Not like hes feeling any pain, this outdated Chinese execution method was preempted by giving the subject unusually high amounts of opium. The point was not to torture the victim to death but to show that if you as a citizen transgressed, you too would die by being cut to pieces. In other words, it was a message to other would be criminals. Cool post! |
