Criminal Who Tried to Rape Woman Was Killed With Pickaxe
Manaus, Amazonas state, Brazil A man was killed with a pickaxe after breaking into a woman's home and trying to rape her in the North Zone of the city. According to police information, the 23-year-old victim was sleeping with her son at around 5am when she was surprised by the accused, who had opened a hole in her roof with a screwdriver and hammer before entering. The man, who was armed with a knife, overpowered her and tried to rape her, but the woman panicked and began screaming. Upon hearing the screams, the neighbors ran to help her and ended up attacking the invader with a pickaxe. The suspect died at the scene and the police were called to investigate the circumstances of the crime. The body was sent to the IML. |
