I remember when I first learned how cremation works and that the body needs to be ground down. I'd never noticed that crematory workers call them "cremains" and never "ashes".  Put me off cremation, that's for sure.

I found a complete bone in my cat's cremains. It's either part of one of her toes or part of her tail. I was very glad to find it and I placed it in a special box in my bedroom, along with her cremation tag.

Interesting, One of my greatest fears is to be buried alive. I have told my relatives to have me cremated, I had no idea how much was left over, it still won't change my mind.

I do wonder how many crematoria workers are secret serial-killers, you just burn your victims up with the next batch of legit deads!

That's like where I work (New Job) Actually the place I work at now has TWO crematory retorts and is so Clean that you could eat off the floor. Notice how dusty the equipment is?? Yeah that's human dust... it gets everywhere. Those pics are about the norm  |
